Joshua 3:17 - And the priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan while all Israel crossed on dry ground, until all the nation had finished crossing the Jordan.

Matthew 3:5 - Then Jerusalem was going out to him, and all Judea, and all the district around the Jordan;

Genesis 13:10 - And Lot lifted up his eyes and saw all the valley of the Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere-- [this was] before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah-- like the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt as you go to Zoar.

Numbers 22:1 - Then the sons of Israel journeyed, and camped in the plains of Moab beyond the Jordan [opposite] Jericho.

Numbers 26:3 - So Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke with them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying,

Numbers 26:63 - These are those who were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the sons of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.

Numbers 31:12 - And they brought the captives and the prey and the spoil to Moses, and to Eleazar the priest and to the congregation of the sons of Israel, to the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by the Jordan opposite Jericho.

Numbers 32:5 - And they said, "If we have found favor in your sight, let this land be given to your servants as a possession; do not take us across the Jordan."

Numbers 32:19 - "For we will not have an inheritance with them on the other side of the Jordan and beyond, because our inheritance has fallen to us on this side of the Jordan toward the east."

Numbers 32:21 - and all of you armed men cross over the Jordan before the LORD until He has driven His enemies out from before Him,

Numbers 32:29 - And Moses said to them, "If the sons of Gad and the sons of Reuben, everyone who is armed for battle, will cross with you over the Jordan in the presence of the LORD, and the land will be subdued before you, then you shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession;

Numbers 32:32 - "We ourselves will cross over armed in the presence of the LORD into the land of Canaan, and the possession of our inheritance [shall remain] with us across the Jordan."

Numbers 33:48 - And they journeyed from the mountains of Abarim, and camped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan [opposite] Jericho.

Numbers 33:49 - And they camped by the Jordan, from Beth-jeshimoth as far as Abel-shittim in the plains of Moab.

Numbers 33:50 - Then the LORD spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan [opposite] Jericho, saying,

Numbers 33:51 - "Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, 'When you cross over the Jordan into the land of Canaan,

Numbers 34:12 - 'And the border shall go down to the Jordan and its termination shall be at the Salt Sea. This shall be your land according to its borders all around.'"

Numbers 34:15 - "The two and a half tribes have received their possession across the Jordan opposite Jericho, eastward toward the sunrising."

Numbers 35:1 - Now the LORD spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan opposite Jericho, saying,

Numbers 35:10 - "Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, 'When you cross the Jordan into the land of Canaan,

Numbers 35:14 - 'You shall give three cities across the Jordan and three cities in the land of Canaan; they are to be cities of refuge.

Numbers 36:13 - These are the commandments and the ordinances which the LORD commanded to the sons of Israel through Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan [opposite] Jericho.

Deuteronomy 1:1 - These are the words which Moses spoke to all Israel across the Jordan in the wilderness, in the Arabah opposite Suph, between Paran and Tophel and Laban and Hazeroth and Dizahab.

Deuteronomy 1:5 - Across the Jordan in the land of Moab, Moses undertook to expound this law, saying,

Deuteronomy 2:29 - just as the sons of Esau who live in Seir and the Moabites who live in Ar did for me, until I cross over the Jordan into the land which the LORD our God is giving to us.'

Deuteronomy 3:8 - "Thus we took the land at that time from the hand of the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, from the valley of Arnon to Mount Hermon

Deuteronomy 3:17 - the Arabah also, with the Jordan as [a] border, from Chinnereth even as far as the sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, at the foot of the slopes of Pisgah on the east.

Deuteronomy 3:20 - until the LORD gives rest to your fellow countrymen as to you, and they also possess the land which the LORD your God will give them beyond the Jordan. Then you may return every man to his possession, which I have given you.'

Deuteronomy 3:25 - 'Let me, I pray, cross over and see the fair land that is beyond the Jordan, that good hill country and Lebanon.'

Deuteronomy 3:27 - 'Go up to the top of Pisgah and lift up your eyes to the west and north and south and east, and see [it] with your eyes, for you shall not cross over this Jordan.

Deuteronomy 4:21 - "Now the LORD was angry with me on your account, and swore that I should not cross the Jordan, and that I should not enter the good land which the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance.

Deuteronomy 4:22 - "For I shall die in this land, I shall not cross the Jordan, but you shall cross and take possession of this good land.

Deuteronomy 4:26 - I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that you shall surely perish quickly from the land where you are going over the Jordan to possess it. You shall not live long on it, but shall be utterly destroyed.

Deuteronomy 4:41 - Then Moses set apart three cities across the Jordan to the east,

Deuteronomy 4:46 - across the Jordan, in the valley opposite Beth-peor, in the land of Sihon king of the Amorites who lived at Heshbon, whom Moses and the sons of Israel defeated when they came out from Egypt.

Deuteronomy 4:47 - And they took possession of his land and the land of Og king of Bashan, the two kings of the Amorites, [who were] across the Jordan to the east,

Deuteronomy 4:49 - with all the Arabah across the Jordan to the east, even as far as the sea of the Arabah, at the foot of the slopes of Pisgah.

Deuteronomy 9:1 - "Hear, O Israel! You are crossing over the Jordan today to go in to dispossess nations greater and mightier than you, great cities fortified to heaven,

Deuteronomy 11:30 - "Are they not across the Jordan, west of the way toward the sunset, in the land of the Canaanites who live in the Arabah, opposite Gilgal, beside the oaks of Moreh?

Deuteronomy 11:31 - "For you are about to cross the Jordan to go in to possess the land which the LORD your God is giving you, and you shall possess it and live in it,

Deuteronomy 12:10 - "When you cross the Jordan and live in the land which the LORD your God is giving you to inherit, and He gives you rest from all your enemies around [you] so that you live in security,

Deuteronomy 27:2 - "So it shall be on the day when you shall cross the Jordan to the land which the LORD your God gives you, that you shall set up for yourself large stones, and coat them with lime

Deuteronomy 27:4 - "So it shall be when you cross the Jordan, you shall set up on Mount Ebal, these stones, as I am commanding you today, and you shall coat them with lime.

Deuteronomy 27:12 - "When you cross the Jordan, these shall stand on Mount Gerizim to bless the people: Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Joseph, and Benjamin.

Deuteronomy 30:18 - I declare to you today that you shall surely perish. You shall not prolong [your] days in the land where you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess it.

Deuteronomy 31:2 - And he said to them, "I am a hundred and twenty years old today; I am no longer able to come and go, and the LORD has said to me, 'You shall not cross this Jordan.'

Deuteronomy 31:13 - "And their children, who have not known, will hear and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as you live on the land which you are about to cross the Jordan to possess."

Deuteronomy 32:47 - "For it is not an idle word for you; indeed it is your life. And by this word you shall prolong your days in the land, which you are about to cross the Jordan to possess."

Joshua 1:2 - "Moses My servant is dead; now therefore arise, cross this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them, to the sons of Israel.

Joshua 1:14 - "Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle shall remain in the land which Moses gave you beyond the Jordan, but you shall cross before your brothers in battle array, all your valiant warriors, and shall help them,

Joshua 1:15 - until the LORD gives your brothers rest, as [He gives] you, and they also possess the land which the LORD your God is giving them. Then you shall return to your own land, and possess that which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise."

Joshua 2:7 - So the men pursued them on the road to the Jordan to the fords; and as soon as those who were pursuing them had gone out, they shut the gate.

Joshua 2:10 - "For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red Sea before you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, to Sihon and Og, whom you utterly destroyed.

Joshua 3:1 - Then Joshua rose early in the morning; and he and all the sons of Israel set out from Shittim and came to the Jordan, and they lodged there before they crossed.

Joshua 3:8 - "You shall, moreover, command the priests who are carrying the ark of the covenant, saying, 'When you come to the edge of the waters of the Jordan, you shall stand [still] in the Jordan.'"

Joshua 3:11 - "Behold, the ark of the covenant of the Lord of all the earth is crossing over ahead of you into the Jordan.

Joshua 3:14 - So it came about when the people set out from their tents to cross the Jordan with the priests carrying the ark of the covenant before the people,

Joshua 3:15 - and when those who carried the ark came into the Jordan, and the feet of the priests carrying the ark were dipped in the edge of the water (for the Jordan overflows all its banks all the days of harvest),

Joshua 4:1 - Now it came about when all the nation had finished crossing the Jordan, that the LORD spoke to Joshua, saying,

Joshua 4:3 - and command them, saying, 'Take up for yourselves twelve stones from here out of the middle of the Jordan, from the place where the priests' feet are standing firm, and carry them over with you, and lay them down in the lodging place where you will lodge tonight.'"

Joshua 4:5 - and Joshua said to them, "Cross again to the ark of the LORD your God into the middle of the Jordan, and each of you take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Israel.

Joshua 4:7 - then you shall say to them, 'Because the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off.' So these stones shall become a memorial to the sons of Israel forever."

Joshua 4:8 - And thus the sons of Israel did, as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan, just as the LORD spoke to Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Israel; and they carried them over with them to the lodging place, and put them down there.

Joshua 4:9 - Then Joshua set up twelve stones in the middle of the Jordan at the place where the feet of the priests who carried the ark of the covenant were standing, and they are there to this day.

Joshua 4:10 - For the priests who carried the ark were standing in the middle of the Jordan until everything was completed that the LORD had commanded Joshua to speak to the people, according to all that Moses had commanded Joshua. And the people hurried and crossed;

Joshua 4:16 - "Command the priests who carry the ark of the testimony that they come up from the Jordan."

Joshua 4:17 - So Joshua commanded the priests, saying, "Come up from the Jordan."

Joshua 4:18 - And it came about when the priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the LORD had come up from the middle of the Jordan, and the soles of the priests' feet were lifted up to the dry ground, that the waters of the Jordan returned to their place, and went over all its banks as before.

Joshua 4:19 - Now the people came up from the Jordan on the tenth of the first month and camped at Gilgal on the eastern edge of Jericho.

Joshua 4:20 - And those twelve stones which they had taken from the Jordan, Joshua set up at Gilgal.

Joshua 4:22 - then you shall inform your children, saying, 'Israel crossed this Jordan on dry ground.'

Joshua 4:23 - "For the LORD your God dried up the waters of the Jordan before you until you had crossed, just as the LORD your God had done to the Red Sea, which He dried up before us until we had crossed;

Joshua 5:1 - Now it came about when all the kings of the Amorites who [were] beyond the Jordan to the west, and all the kings of the Canaanites who [were] by the sea, heard how the LORD had dried up the waters of the Jordan before the sons of Israel until they had crossed, that their hearts melted, and there was no spirit in them any longer, because of the sons of Israel.

Joshua 7:7 - And Joshua said, "Alas, O Lord God, why didst Thou ever bring this people over the Jordan, [only] to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? If only we had been willing to dwell beyond the Jordan!

Joshua 9:1 - Now it came about when all the kings who were beyond the Jordan, in the hill country and in the lowland and on all the coast of the Great Sea toward Lebanon, the Hittite and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite and the Jebusite, heard of it,

Joshua 9:10 - and all that He did to the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, to Sihon king of Heshbon and to Og king of Bashan who was at Ashtaroth.

Joshua 12:1 - Now these are the kings of the land whom the sons of Israel defeated, and whose land they possessed beyond the Jordan toward the sunrise, from the valley of the Arnon as far as Mount Hermon, and all the Arabah to the east:

Joshua 12:7 - Now these are the kings of the land whom Joshua and the sons of Israel defeated beyond the Jordan toward the west, from Baal-gad in the valley of Lebanon even as far as Mount Halak, which rises toward Seir; and Joshua gave it to the tribes of Israel as a possession according to their divisions,

Joshua 13:8 - With the other half-tribe, the Reubenites and the Gadites received their inheritance which Moses gave them beyond the Jordan to the east, just as Moses the servant of the LORD gave to them;

Joshua 13:23 - And the border of the sons of Reuben was the Jordan. This was the inheritance of the sons of Reuben according to their families, the cities and their villages.

Joshua 13:27 - and in the valley, Beth-haram and Beth-nimrah and Succoth and Zaphon, the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, with the Jordan as a border, as far as the [lower] end of the Sea of Chinnereth beyond the Jordan to the east.

Joshua 13:32 - These are [the territories] which Moses apportioned for an inheritance in the plains of Moab, beyond the Jordan at Jericho to the east.

Joshua 14:3 - For Moses had given the inheritance of the two tribes and the half-tribe beyond the Jordan; but he did not give an inheritance to the Levites among them.

Joshua 15:5 - And the east border [was] the Salt Sea, as far as the mouth of the Jordan. And the border of the north side was from the bay of the sea at the mouth of the Jordan.

Joshua 16:1 - Then the lot for the sons of Joseph went from the Jordan at Jericho to the waters of Jericho on the east into the wilderness, going up from Jericho through the hill country to Bethel.

Joshua 16:7 - And it went down from Janoah to Ataroth and to Naarah, then reached Jericho and came out at the Jordan.

Joshua 17:5 - Thus there fell ten portions to Manasseh, besides the land of Gilead and Bashan, which is beyond the Jordan,

Joshua 18:7 - "For the Levites have no portion among you, because the priesthood of the LORD is their inheritance. Gad and Reuben and the half-tribe of Manasseh also have received their inheritance eastward beyond the Jordan, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave them."

Joshua 18:12 - And their border on the north side was from the Jordan, then the border went up to the side of Jericho on the north, and went up through the hill country westward; and it ended at the wilderness of Beth-aven.

Joshua 18:19 - And the border continued to the side of Beth-hoglah northward; and the border ended at the north bay of the Salt Sea, at the south end of the Jordan. This [was] the south border.

Joshua 18:20 - Moreover, the Jordan was its border on the east side. This [was] the inheritance of the sons of Benjamin, according to their families [and] according to its borders all around.

Joshua 19:22 - And the border reached to Tabor and Shahazumah and Beth-shemesh, and their border ended at the Jordan; sixteen cities with their villages.

Joshua 19:33 - And their border was from Heleph, from the oak in Zaanannim and Adami-nekeb and Jabneel, as far as Lakkum; and it ended at the Jordan.

Joshua 19:34 - Then the border turned westward to Aznoth-tabor, and proceeded from there to Hukkok; and it reached to Zebulun on the south and touched Asher on the west, and to Judah at the Jordan toward the east.

Joshua 20:8 - And beyond the Jordan east of Jericho, they designated Bezer in the wilderness on the plain from the tribe of Reuben, and Ramoth in Gilead from the tribe of Gad, and Golan in Bashan from the tribe of Manasseh.

Joshua 22:4 - "And now the LORD your God has given rest to your brothers, as He spoke to them; therefore turn now and go to your tents, to the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave you beyond the Jordan.

Joshua 22:7 - Now to the one half-tribe of Manasseh Moses had given [a possession] in Bashan, but to the other half Joshua gave [a possession] among their brothers westward beyond the Jordan. So when Joshua sent them away to their tents, he blessed them,

Joshua 22:10 - And when they came to the region of the Jordan which is in the land of Canaan, the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh built an altar there by the Jordan, a large altar in appearance.

Joshua 22:11 - And the sons of Israel heard [it] said, "Behold, the sons of Reuben and the sons of Gad and the halftribe of Manasseh have built an altar at the frontier of the land of Canaan, in the region of the Jordan, on the side [belonging to] the sons of Israel."

Joshua 22:25 - "For the LORD has made the Jordan a border between us and you, [you] sons of Reuben and sons of Gad; you have no portion in the LORD." So your sons may make our sons stop fearing the LORD.'

Joshua 23:4 - "See, I have apportioned to you these nations which remain as an inheritance for your tribes, with all the nations which I have cut off, from the Jordan even to the Great Sea toward the setting of the sun.

Joshua 24:8 - 'Then I brought you into the land of the Amorites who lived beyond the Jordan, and they fought with you; and I gave them into your hand, and you took possession of their land when I destroyed them before you.

Joshua 24:11 - 'And you crossed the Jordan and came to Jericho; and the citizens of Jericho fought against you, [and] the Amorite and the Perizzite and the Canaanite and the Hittite and the Girgashite, the Hivite and the Jebusite. Thus I gave them into your hand.

Judges 3:28 - And he said to them, "Pursue [them], for the LORD has given your enemies the Moabites into your hands." So they went down after him and seized the fords of the Jordan opposite Moab, and did not allow anyone to cross.

Judges 5:17 - "Gilead remained across the Jordan; And why did Dan stay in ships? Asher sat at the seashore, And remained by its landings.

Judges 7:24 - And Gideon sent messengers throughout all the hill country of Ephraim, saying, "Come down against Midian and take the waters before them, as far as Beth-barah and the Jordan." So all the men of Ephraim were summoned, and they took the waters as far as Beth-barah and the Jordan.

Judges 7:25 - And they captured the two leaders of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb, and they killed Oreb at the rock of Oreb, and they killed Zeeb at the wine press of Zeeb, while they pursued Midian; and they brought the heads of Oreb and Zeeb to Gideon from across the Jordan.

Judges 8:4 - Then Gideon and the 300 men who were with him came to the Jordan [and] crossed over, weary yet pursuing.

Judges 10:8 - And they afflicted and crushed the sons of Israel that year; for eighteen years they [afflicted] all the sons of Israel who were beyond the Jordan in Gilead in the land of the Amorites.

Judges 10:9 - And the sons of Ammon crossed the Jordan to fight also against Judah, Benjamin, and the house of Ephraim, so that Israel was greatly distressed.

Judges 11:13 - And the king of the sons of Ammon said to the messengers of Jephthah, "Because Israel took away my land when they came up from Egypt, from the Arnon as far as the Jabbok and the Jordan; therefore, return them peaceably now."

Judges 11:22 - 'So they possessed all the territory of the Amorites, from the Arnon as far as the Jabbok, and from the wilderness as far as the Jordan.

Judges 12:5 - And the Gileadites captured the fords of the Jordan opposite Ephraim. And it happened when [any of] the fugitives of Ephraim said, "Let me cross over," the men of Gilead would say to him, "Are you an Ephraimite?" If he said, "No,"

Judges 12:6 - then they would say to him, "Say now, 'Shibboleth.'" But he said, "Sibboleth," for he could not pronounce it correctly. Then they seized him and slew him at the fords of the Jordan. Thus there fell at that time 42,000 of Ephraim.

1 Samuel 13:7 - Also [some of] the Hebrews crossed the Jordan into the land of Gad and Gilead. But as for Saul, he [was] still in Gilgal, and all the people followed him trembling.

1 Samuel 31:7 - And when the men of Israel who were on the other side of the valley, with those who were beyond the Jordan, saw that the men of Israel had fled and that Saul and his sons were dead, they abandoned the cities and fled; then the Philistines came and lived in them.

2 Samuel 2:29 - Abner and his men then went through the Arabah all that night; so they crossed the Jordan, walked all morning, and came to Mahanaim.

2 Samuel 10:17 - Now when it was told David, he gathered all Israel together and crossed the Jordan, and came to Helam. And the Arameans arrayed themselves to meet David and fought against him.

2 Samuel 17:22 - Then David and all the people who [were] with him arose and crossed the Jordan; and by dawn not even one remained who had not crossed the Jordan.

2 Samuel 17:24 - Then David came to Mahanaim. And Absalom crossed the Jordan, he and all the men of Israel with him.

2 Samuel 19:15 - The king then returned and came as far as the Jordan. And Judah came to Gilgal in order to go to meet the king, to bring the king across the Jordan.

2 Samuel 19:17 - And there were a thousand men of Benjamin with him, with Ziba the servant of the house of Saul, and his fifteen sons and his twenty servants with him; and they rushed to the Jordan before the king.

2 Samuel 19:18 - Then they kept crossing the ford to bring over the king's household, and to do what was good in his sight. And Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king as he was about to cross the Jordan.

2 Samuel 19:31 - Now Barzillai the Gileadite had come down from Rogelim; and he went on to the Jordan with the king to escort him over the Jordan.

2 Samuel 19:36 - "Your servant would merely cross over the Jordan with the king. Why should the king compensate me [with] this reward?

2 Samuel 19:39 - All the people crossed over the Jordan and the king crossed too. The king then kissed Barzillai and blessed him, and he returned to his place.

2 Samuel 19:41 - And behold, all the men of Israel came to the king and said to the king, "Why had our brothers the men of Judah stolen you away, and brought the king and his household and all David's men with him over the Jordan?"

2 Samuel 20:2 - So all the men of Israel withdrew from following David, [and] followed Sheba the son of Bichri; but the men of Judah remained steadfast to their king, from the Jordan even to Jerusalem.

2 Samuel 24:5 - And they crossed the Jordan and camped in Aroer, on the right side of the city that is in the middle of the valley of Gad, and toward Jazer.

1 Kings 2:8 - "And behold, there is with you Shimei the son of Gera the Benjamite, of Bahurim; now it was he who cursed me with a violent curse on the day I went to Mahanaim. But when he came down to me at the Jordan, I swore to him by the LORD, saying, 'I will not put you to death with the sword.'

1 Kings 7:46 - In the plain of the Jordan the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zarethan.

1 Kings 17:3 - "Go away from here and turn eastward, and hide yourself by the brook Cherith, which is east of the Jordan.

1 Kings 17:5 - So he went and did according to the word of the LORD, for he went and lived by the brook Cherith, which is east of the Jordan.

2 Kings 2:6 - Then Elijah said to him, "Please stay here, for the LORD has sent me to the Jordan." And he said, "As the LORD lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you." So the two of them went on.

2 Kings 2:7 - Now fifty men of the sons of the prophets went and stood opposite [them] at a distance, while the two of them stood by the Jordan.

John 3:26 - And they came to John and said to him, "Rabbi, He who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have borne witness, behold, He is baptizing, and all are coming to Him."

John 10:40 - And He went away again beyond the Jordan to the place where John was first baptizing, and He was staying there.
